The new Android is tempting me to update the model I carry. Since I have both iPhone and Android for developer purposes, I witness how much faster one is over the other. I'm impressed with the speed of Android. If any of you have the Incredible model I'd love to hear how much you like it.
In addition, the Skype app is now available for download in the market to enjoy face-to-face talk time but only if you have version 2 or higher.
The iPhone App Store just released Virtual Vine this weekend. If you already have Virtual Vine on your iPhone this native iPhone application is a new release you will want. Trust me this version is better.
Like most everybody, I have been watching with horror as the events in the Gulf of Mexico have been unfolding over the last 50 days. Lately I have been using technology to make the most sense of what is actually going on out there. In case anybody has missed it, Google has a crisis response page for the oil spill located at http://www.google.com/crisisresponse/oilspill/. You can get the latest maps and Google Earth layers as well as watch YouTube videos and get the latest news.
This weekend the final touches are being made on the iPhone for the App store. If you already have Virtual Vine on your iPhone this native iPhone application is an update you will want.
It should be in App store within a week.
The mobile app for virtualvine.com is now available in the Android Market under > Apps > Travel or you can search the text 'Virtual Vine' and download. The goal was to make the website more accessible because I like to take good care of my readers; therefore, this app is FREE.
I'm so excited! More travel, wine and technology is about to be unleashed in your hands. We have been working hard beta testing a mobile application for android users and it is moving right along and if all goes well it will be available shortly in the market.
There are going to be new features on Virtual Vine that I'm excited about launching. That's just how we roll. Programming and technology is my real passion when I'm not traveling etc. Once the changes are live I'll explain them at length but these will be obvious and easy for my incredibly smart readers to grasp. Until then, it is a surprise!
