The Florida Manatees are gentle giants and the most endangered mammals on the coastal region of the U.S. Their front flippers are used for steering and digging up plants to eat. Daily they consume 150 pounds of plant life. As you can see from my picture they have small eyes, and can't see far in muddy water.
