Dream Boats

There are more out-of-state boats this time of year than any other. Old teak boats with red leather means someone is refurbishing it every single year. I wonder if there is a bottle of wine stashed in the console? The upholstery beckons for a family with a dog to be cruising around on.

I made pancakes this morning since I slept in late. It felt good but I've lost hours already. I've been keyed up and drained an I needed the rest so I'm gonna roll with how the day unfolds and not be uptight. All the years of getting up and taking care of dogs I guess seals the fact I am a dog lover. I miss it. I'm actually looking forward to training and housebreaking a puppy which is not easy. Taking a puppy outside nearly every hour to make sure they don't have inside accidents will sleep deprive me again one day. Some of you have asked me about my plans and I wanted to let you all know I am on a waiting list for another dobie but it may be as late as the fall. I appreciate your kind words and encouragement. If all goes well you will be the first to see the new puppy right here. For the time being I will continue on my dobie quest.
