The Rehearsal Dinner

Italian food is near and dear to our hearts and with "The Hill" district downtown and an antipasta dish that can make any vegan drool it was an ideal gathering at Favazza's.
The evening began with drinks, hors d'oeuvre of toasted ravioli and something that resembled pizza but it was like no pizza I have ever tasted. It literally melted in my mouth it was so fresh and light and full of herbs. I'm sorry I don't have a picture of these but I was mingling and meeting Jenna's family and introducing myself. Can you say large family?

The maid of honor.
Oh, and I sensed immediately Jenna and I had something in common, brothers... as in 3 of them. Any girl that can stand her ground in a room full of boys/men and play on their level makes me happy. No easy task and women like this tend to be strong and determined, at least if she wants to get a piece of pie for dessert before a brother convinces her she might need help! Just sayin!

I only fell for this when I was under the age of 8 and didn't know any better.

This is my niece Rachael and her boyfriend Tim. She is sitting on his lap here and as long as I can remember Rachael has been a cuddle bug.

After the main course my brother gave his speech and then Jenna's brother Michael played a presentation of their history.

This was the best man and his lady.

Jenna and her mom having a really fun time.

We closed the place down and left happy and full.
This was such a great night and the weather was perfect for this time of year. I am very happy for Jer and Jenna.
The wedding was the following day and a big beautiful outdoor wedding was set for sunset.
