Augey Bordeaux

This weekend struck me as one where I should dig in the dirt and read books under the trees while winds blow pollen in my face. The pollen is so thick right now my car has a gross shade of yellow/orange dusting the top. It is impossible to keep my car clean for any length of time. Once I got inside I opened a bottle of the white bordeaux which is a blend of sauvignon blanc and semillion. With flavors of citrus and gooseberry shining through it goes especially well with seafood.

I picked these flowers because of the name super tunia. Once the humidity hits the tropics these will wilt in the heat; though, they flourish for now.

After all the digging and reading I got a bit hungry and nothing goes with white wine like a fresh pot of steamed little neck clams.

Hope you had a fabulous weekend.
