Peche Apértif

What a nice weekend it was with no major chores and no DIY projects going on. I got out and rode my bike, ran, and walked on the beach. The only errand I did was to the wine store to get an old favorite of mine. Years ago, I was in France driving in the Loire Valley when I stumbled upon a chateau in the middle of the woods. The kings like to hide their mistresses out in the country with lots of wine and chateau's filled with fireplaces large enough to walk in. They had to be big to heat those castles.

After returning from the trip I opened the bottle purchased from the chateau and sipped a glass every now and then trying to make it last. Eventually, I ran out. Yesterday, I found what is a perfect match to the one from France. The Mathilde Peach Liqueur resembles the same bottle shape and sweet necter so much I could smell the formal gardens we walked around that day. My fireplace is much smaller and my abode more modest than the castles of the Loire; however, my heart is still filled with the same desire to see and drink in life.
I hope your day is filled with wine, laughter, and hugs.
Cheers!
