Clinical Information at Your Fingertips

Clinical data is becoming more prevalent on mobile devices. Epocrates is one example of a mobile application loaded with useful tools and information for anyone with a mobile smart phone to use. The free version of the app is enough for most everyday users and medical doctors to consult on but there are expanded versions to pay for is you prefer.

Epocrates is very useful for many reasons; pill information, identification, interactions concerning others other pills, etc. The easy to use menu offers extensive helpful articles on clinical findings and studies. I'm not a doctor but it's like having one in my purse when it comes to questions in the middle of the night.
In govhealthit.com "Dr. Tom Giannulli, chief medical information officer at Epocrates, said he has seen rapid early adoption of Android. The company offers a free Android beta of its Epocrates Rx drug reference software. Epocrates drug and medical references previously arrived on the iPhone, Palm, Blackberry and Windows Mobile platforms."
