Oil And Water Don't Mix

Everyday 42,000 gallons of crude oil gushes into the Gulf of Mexico near the Louisiana/Florida coast.

I don't normally post issues but this has left me feeling ill. I feel sad for the 11 crew members that lost their lives. Offshore drilling is not a risk Florida can afford even with a state-of-the-art rig which failed during experimental drilling.

Drilling for oil off our coasts is a destructive policy that puts our beaches and wild areas at risk. It does nothing to reduce our dependence on foreign oil or the cost to consumers at the pump.

The entire west coast of Florida is tourism. Now imagine the beaches covered with crude oil. This sickens me.

We need to tell our leaders in Congress to stop the rush to drill. Some things can never be taken back once they occur. Don't let this be one of them.

Please help stop offshore drilling.
