Raspberry Thumbprint Cookies

Raspbery jam may be the best part of my holiday baking. As I made haste to the kitchen to get my mixing on I pondered the ways the dough should carry this jam: sandwiched, stuffed, or dipped.

And then I spooned some straight out of the jar into my pie hole. Not my best moment. I don't care who you are, a cookie will turn you into a kid just by holding one in your hand. Taking a bite transports me back to cold winters with snow piled up to the door. Actually, that is today with over 40 percent of the US covered in fluff.

I'd like to say I only had the one, but we both know that is not true; my inner cookie monster was unleashed.
