Matanzas Creek Wine and Lavender

Lavender will always remind me of my favorite road trip in the south of France. I could smell it before I could see the color purple in the fields. It was then I began to cook with it and I cannot pass up the scent of these gardens.

Matanzas Creek is scenic and the lavender they grow here really shapes their wines. It's November, and most of it has been harvested already but some remained to enjoy.

There is a self guided tour of the grounds to see the different gardens and relax and enjoy the wine. Matanzas Creek also grows olives if you don't like wine.

I think it's siesta time.
