Armstrong Woods State Park

This is the land of giant redwoods along the Russian River. Armstrong Woods is a gem to spend some time hiking and playing around.

This was on the steep path, aka straight uphill and heavy breathing. I'm not used to hills on my jogs back home.

The soothing sensation that begins to relax my mind and soul takes over here and I really don't feel like hurrying out anytime soon.

When I was a kid I used to play in the trees around our house. I had many to choose from and tried to burn off my energy before dinner time. Tree houses and climbing a priority back then. My dad put up a big rope swing for us to play on which became THE perfect tree and a magnet for any kid under the age of 12.

Spending time in here was like getting a big hug from dad.
