An Evening in Seville, Spain

The Santa Cruz barrio was originally the Jewish quarter but now is a mix of all things. Many of the best sights are centered near the cavernous gothic cathedral such as The Real Alcazar with its gardens and tiled facades displaying the Mudejar-style azulejos. The moors created fantastics mosaics of tiles with geometric decorations. The palace is one of the best remaining examples of mudéjar architecture. Tiling later evolved into the pottery of Triana and eventually The Italians ran with the industrial colors and designs. The evening glow of the church and tower are a beautiful area to sit and have a meal and watch the light change.
